Concept for a custom made medical support device developed around the anatomy of the hand.

The piece is designed to provide support to the thumb joint and to limit movements associated with repeated mechanical stress from prolonged mouse use and weight training.

Its structure is based on the functional principles of an existing certified medical brace, adapted and reshaped to fit the specific geometry of the hand.

The project combines a functional orthopedic reference with a custom digital design and fabrication process.

Personal use only.
